Hello, and welcome to the relaunch of Zo on the Go. My name is Zoë Armstrong, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I am fiercely independent and relentlessly hardworking.
For years, I poured my heart and soul into planning this adventure – working long hours in the hospitality industry to fund the dream of exploring the world. But for me, travel has never been about simply ticking destinations off a map. It’s about connection, purpose, and impact. My journey is driven by a deep desire to leave a positive mark wherever I go: to immerse myself in the communities I visit, learn from their culture, and lend a hand where it’s needed.
This blog is where I’ll share said journey – stories from the road, the lessons I learn, and the people and places that shape me along the way.
After taking a break from uploading blogs and beginning to start the process of transferring over my stories, and uploading new ones. I am excited to begin this journey again. Over the next months, I’ll be backtracking a little, uploading some of my earlier stories here so everything lives in one place. Consider it both a fresh start and a way to trace the path that brought me here.
A New Passion: Guiding
One of the biggest discoveries of my travels so far has been my passion for guiding. After spending six months in Peru, I realised that working as an adventure guide brings together everything I love: the outdoors, people, and the thrill of exploration.
Now, I’m diving deeper into that calling – returning to Peru to continue guiding, while also exploring opportunities in Chile, Argentina, and perhaps Canada. Along the way, I’ll be sharing my progress as I gain experience, pursue qualifications, and refine the skills that will make me a stronger, more capable guide.
The Journey Ahead
Zo on the Go is about more than travel – it’s about building a life rooted in curiosity, resilience, and contribution. I’m excited to take you along with me as I discover new places, learn from new people, and uncover more about myself and what I truly want. There will be be ups and downs, lessons learned the hard way, and plenty of adventures in between – even figuring out how to build and grow this very website (so bear with me!).
